WTH!!! What would you do if this was you? (dating, girlfriend, women)

The STD thread reminded me of a pretty horrible situation.

A girlfriend of mine just found out that she has herpes, when she talked to her bf she was shocked to find out that he passed it on to her and that the creep knew of it before they started dating and "forgot" to mention it to her...

She is obviously devastated, and is considering taking him to court... can she do that? not so sure...

What would you do in her case?

Taking him to court for knowingly transmitting a disease? Worth a shot. It would be a public service to the rest of humanity.

Yesterday Oprah did a show about this guy who gave a bunch of women AIDS. He went to jail for 'assault with a deadly weapon' because he KNEW he had it.

I don't see why she couldn't sue him for deliberate infliction of harm or something like that. Either that or take a bat to one of his knees.
