I don't get bothered when someone calls me goofy. I know I am. Dork bothers me a little depending on the person that says it. Geek really bothers me but I've been called that maybe twice in my life.
Goofy (for example). I was thinking after seeing another thread about how a woman called her coworker "jokey" and I thought back to the one episode of Fresh Prince of Belair (haha) when Will Smiths gf says he's "goofy" haha and he got all bent out of shape.
Thinking about it, I was recently told that I am a "rare breed." Ummm I was confused, apparently it was a compliment. He was saying that I'm "not like most woman and I just keep it real which is cool." I thought it was funny bc I wasn't expecting it at all and it made me think "I'm a rare breed huh?" LOL
Has anyone ever called you something that made you step back and think "Really I am?" Was it a complitment or an insult? How did you take it?
My darling daughter, it's a compliment!! LOL I think a lot of men feel that some women don't keep it real, they don't really say what's on their mind and instead like to play head games, not all women do this though and there are definitely the rare few who actually do keep it real.
I've been called corny, dork, and a few other terms of endearment. It doesn't bother me. I have an offbeat sense of humor and I can be kind of awkward and dorky at times.
