I'm the same way - no one will take my picture - something about the camera being too expensive to risk damage to the lens...
I just saw pictures taken by a supposedly "professional" photographer that look way worse than my own self-taken ones with a cell phone from as far as my arm goes! Oh, well, it's not like I picked the photographer... I knew he'd be worthless as soon as I saw him.

Why thank you. I use to hear that I look Wanda Sykes a LOT when I'd wear my hair kinky. I hated the comparison, chalked it up to the hair style. But here you go saying it when you view me with straight hair... I guess it's time for me to face the truth!!!
I don't understand why people with private profiles are posting on here saying "I have a picture on my profile." If you don't trust a regular user to see your picture, why do you trust random people you befriended on city data? It's not like you actually KNOW these people.

I like to control WHO can see me.
City-data is a big social network and I don't want just any random person clicking my profile to view my pic. I control who sees it and who doesn't, even if they are just random people I befriend.

But you don't actually know them, so how can you trust them? For all you know, they might share your picture with other members. I just don't understand the idea of showing 1 random stranger your picture but not wanting another random stranger to see it.
Everybody looks great, but I don't post pics on the internet. I have been through the issue of someone using my pics without my permission, and I am not doing it again. One poster on here has seen my pic, and I plan to keep it that way.
