Depends on how you look at it... While I'm not religious and wouldn't be OK with regular church-going, I definitely don't mind many of the values promoted by religion and it would be great if people adhered to them.
Yesterday I watched a movie (Fireproof), which I knew was going to be on the religious side, but I wanted to see anyway. It was about the positive transformation of a marriage on the brink of divorce. The movie WAS heavily on the religious side, but if being a decent, caring, compassionate, and less selfish person means having a relationship with God or any other powerful image of your choice, I see nothing wrong with it.
It was religious because it was produced by a church in Georgia.

Didn't know that. It was kind of an unprofessional movie (I thought it was made for TV), but I did like the message regardless of the way it was presented. People CAN and SHOULD change in a positive direction, but it doesn't necessarily have to happen through embracing religion per se. However, it rarely works out this way until you're hit by some major life blow...

Oh, dear... not to sound like a senior citizen, but as young and cocky as you are, you have many wake-up calls awaiting for ya... I can promise ya that! However, most of us get them later in life. Enjoy your "know-it-all" attitude while you can!

Thanks for the info. I don't know what this one is about, but it's nice to see a heart-warming movie once in a while. There are many marriages that are perfectly salvageable if the ego, pride, and stubbornness are not allowed to take over.

I know a couple of people who didn't have sex until they got married (or tried to anyway). I know others who structure their lives, dating proclivities, and how they should interact with their spouses around a conservative Christian viewpoint. I am not trying to diss people who choose to live a certain life, but it all just seems so bizarre to me.
I find it interesting that you see the Christian viewpoint as bizarre. You should try living around a fundamentalist Islamic sect.
I've not seen that...wasn't sure if it would be too over-the-top. Glad to hear you guys like it. I'll add it to my list.
