C'mon now... that's sour grapes! I'm not saying there aren't such cases, but they'd be more the exception than the rule.
Not sour grapes on my part, as I haven't learned it the hard way. HOWEVER, I have had a few occasions when I've thought that an acquaintance's husband was too good to be true, and it turned out he was!
I mean, ya gotta wonder when an incredibly handsome man enjoys shopping at the mall with the wife, coordinating incredible parties at their house, and happily coordinates carpools for the kids' events. Besides, my gay friends tell me that gay professionals have used marriage as a cover forever. I think that may be changing nowadays.
Hey, if you're a woman who doesn't mind finding "satisfaction" elsewhere and minding your business when hubby meets his male friends, a gay guy would be an awesome husband! You'd have someone to shop and go to the theater with, he'd be tidy, enthusiastic about household stuff and lots of fun!

Come to think of it, it's not that bad of an arrangement! Maybe I should go post it on craigslist!
I'm so glad most of the people here have taken my thread in the spirit in which it was intended. But of course they know if I was going there I would never have posted because I've seen the fur fly on this subject.

But the stick would be nice.
I know how you feel All the nice decent good-looking guys I've met lately have turned out to be married. Sigh!
I'm still hopeful that I'll find a nice, financially stable, decent looking guy that some cheating gold digging drug addicted fat woman with a tramp stamp who denied him sex, and farts in front of him, has dumped for an abusive millionaire, leaving him with the house and wonderful perfect children. (just trying to cover as many thread topics as possible)

Considering your likes, TT, I think you'd do better with a widower. Why did you snooze when MG was available...?! Who knows... he might become available again soon enough...

Hmmm, do you know something I don't know? Did I miss a significant MG post
Oh well, I already moved once for a guy and don't plan to do that again.
Widowers would be an option for me though. As long as the guy has been able to move on from the tragedy, I wouldn't feel threatened by a "ghost", and having a couple pictures of the late-Mrs whoever in the house, as long as they weren't all over the bedroom wouldn't be an issue either, if kids were involved.
That brings up another issue though, if all married guys get beaten with ugly sticks, what happens when they divorce or are widowed. Do they get their looks back?

Nope! The ex-wife keeps them as part of the divorce settlement....along with the loads of millions so many men seem to have these days.
