The whole point of all these tedious rules is to elicit the "chase" instinct in men. Men need to "work for" what they want (according to the book) or they become lazy and take you for granted.
E.g., having sex on the first date may be what a guy wants, but he won't marry you. The Rules is about landing marriage, not getting a boyfriend.
These rules are just one way of doing things for a lot of women who have found that pursuing men only got them passive types.
OK, so I have met a guy online and he lives far away. he invited me to his town and then to the Cayman Islands which of course i was swooning over but I stuck in my heels and insisted that he come here first. He made travel arrangements and is due here in 17 days. He was texting me morning and night until Monday after we had had a probably too long conversation on Saturday night. He sent me a nude pic of himslef in the steamy shower so thank goodness it was blurry. I am not really interested in seeing that stuff and then he asked me for one but I will not do that. After not responding for about 6 hours, he texted "don't let me force you into something that makes you uncomfortable" so I sent him a clothed but sexy pic. He loved it...but then he stopped texting me after he sent a photo of himself this time clothed and I responded in an hour with a business shot of myself. He commented on it saying I was cute...I did not respond and now I have not heard from him for 1.5 days. He wanted me to send him a daily pic of myself until we see each other on his visit here but I heard nothing from him yesterday and now nothing today. We have plans to meet in 17 days and I am not sure where he stands now. I so want to text him with a daily pic but I'm waiting on him to initiate. I will follow the rules if you think I should or shouldn't...help!! I am thinking I should not text him and assume his plans are cancelled for the trip here, not sure I will hear from him again...wow, I really blew it by having a long conversation with him I guess...
