Filling out the registration here I was reminded again... if someone is divorced would they be considered single or divorced or divorced and single...you can't click both... it seems to me that if you are not in a relationship that you would be considered single regardless of whether you were once married or not...
I heard someone say once that when you are my age, it's not considered being single. Being single was when you were in High School and you just broke up with a girl and was waiting on her to return your sweater so you could date again. At my age, it's not, "I am single", it's, "I am alone".

Well I'm single and seldom alone. Except when I'm hiding up in my room like a rogue teenager.
Did I tell you it's like... 83 degrees up here with the windows open?
This has been a "grey area" that I've noticed only since becoming divorced a few years ago... I was wondering how other people perceived this... thanks to all and anyone who has an opinion.
I haven't given it much thought, but I think the stigma of divorce is gradually ending.
I figure if you're divorced then you can date since you are technically single. If you're married or only separated, then you're off limits till you are single.
Likewise, if your are a widow or widower (a term you rarely hear anymore) you are also single.
Now if you're not married but in a committed relationship and you are seeing someone else at the same time, then you're cheating.
That's my personal interpretation, at least.
