Do you make sure you take a certain amount of time every week/month to go out and do something, just the two of you? What do you typically do?
We try to go out least twice a month. We wish it was more often, but we need to hire a babysitter and the whole night can be costly.
We are pretty boring though, we usually go out for dinner or catch a movie or play pool...nothing too wild. We are just happy to be out at this point.
DH and I are real homebodies and we love our Saturday nights together! Our ideal night is to go to dinner at a casual restaurant, then off to home to open a bottle of laughably bad wine and watch an action or 70's kung-fu movie. Usually it has to be bad enough so we can rip on it and curl up giggling with each other!
Not at the moment, because I'm not working due to ill health, and her funding has run out on her course, so money's a little tight at the moment.
We still try to do stuff as often as possible together tho, now the better weather's coming we'll try to get out for walks, and we'll get a bottle of wine of a Saturday and spend some time together.
Hopefully I can find gainful employment in summer, and she should be finished her PHD in fall, so then we can get back to "normal".
We tried to plan something weekly, which we did for a while, but there's not much to do around here except go out to eat, so we just kind of stopped. Sadly, I just don't "feel" like having a date night anymore....
