Ok so I was just talking to match boy who I went on the date with last night on the phone. Everything was going fine when we were nearing the end of the conversation and then something happened that has never happened to me before: He called me by the complete wrong name!! I didn't say anything and let it slide and just said goodbye and that was it. So we've got plans on Sat night and I'm afraid he's going to call me by the wrong name in person, LOL..I'm assuming he was just maybe nervous..What would have you girls done? (I have to mention that I'm totally cracking up right now)
When people say my name incorrectly (which actually happens frequently), I just say my name correctly, and let them continue talking. Usually I get the "Oh! Oops, that's right, sorry." And they keep going on. It's subtle enough where people don't get offended or embarrassed, but it saves me from having to correct them later on, when they've been thinking for a while that my name is X when it's really Y. Then it's harder to correct.
Since you already let that one slip, if he calls you by the wrong name again, I'd just say, "You mean...." fill in the blank. I hope that he knows that it's YOU he's going out with on Sat, and doesn't have another woman in mind, lol!

It may have been intentional; I'll say things wrong just to screw with someone and see if anyone catches it.
