I meet my ex/abuser on the internet, he is a preacher's son and he called HUD, claiming I was involved in fraud with HUD and other agencies. I am disabled individual, who is the survivor of domestic violence at his hands. Due to the domestic violence in my home HUD is alleging fraud and my ex/abuser called them (stating my abuser lived with me), I was -terminated from Section 8 - 2 1/2 years ago. Suddenly, HUD shows back up at my door claiming they are going to prosecute me to the fullest extend of the law. Are these adverse actions warranted by HUD 2 1/2 years later after the fact?

All I will say is this, every son or daughter of a pastor I knew had serious problems. And the nerve of some of these pastors, lecturing a full congregation when their own home is in shambles.

It sounds like you need to consult an attorney. This is more of a real estate/legal issue than a relationships issue.

This might be better addressed in the rental forum, but there are a couple of lawyers who post in relationships.
I'll just make one comment though, if these allegations are false, he's still abusing you as well as making false statements, you need an attorney.

And what does this have to do with Internet dating...? You can't meet jerks otherwise?

I would not rule it out NYCHI, it's just, I think when people think about internet dating, for some reason, they think it's some kind of turn key ordeal where they punch a few buttons and their selection comes out. They then find out the hard way that internet dating is just the same as if you were in the street.

Internet dating has nothing to do with your situation. Did you not take the time to get to know the guy or did you just start shacking up with an abuser ?

If you did fraud with your section 8 I would think HUD would want to know and prosecute you. You might get a better answer in the Real Estate or Housing section.
