I am 29 and I have been with my boyfriend for seven years. We have a pretty good relationship, I am just interested in how to keep it healthy and happy. I am particularly interested in what other black men have to say but appreciate all input. What are some complaints that black men have with black women?? What are some warning signs to look for if things start to go awry??
We are planning to get married when we can afford it, needless to say its not at the top of our list.
Thanks.
I have a younger adult sister and this is the advice I give.
Be supportive of everything, even dumb ideas are dumb hobbies....women never know when our interest change. My interest always changes as many other men do. Dont critize just support and be patient.
Change your look!!! We men want to sex many women, you women have the power to be every women its all in you, Dont rock the pony tail for 6 months. Change it up. Im not big in nails, but a new hairdo goes far with me its like I am with a different women, but with the same one. Wigs, weave, haircolor, hair cuts...whatever just change that boring look you had for too long.
Have a life. Nothing worse than a woman who always wants you around because she has nothing to do. Gosh. This leads to stress and arguments that dont have to happen. If you are busy you want feel lonely.
The Op should have phrased the question a little differently, sorta makes blacks seem like some separate beings that don't have the same basic relationship requirement.
I'm assuming the OP is non-black???
I agree we all have the same basic relationship requirements. We all just want to get along and not be alone
Hey I like your star and I agree with ur perspective.
Yea I got it from all the battles I was in on this forum. I should have got a purple heart however.
But yea, you know you have a problem when millions of Americanized women trade in their respective cultural music and folkloric dance in for Kelly Clarkson.
I'm yet another white guy...but I think it would be pretty much the same, wouldn't it? My thought is we are all the same.
I would say it's important to always remember to be friends. Remember to be team mates...and hold each other up in the bad times, don't beat each other up. Cherish the good times, and laugh and look back on them.
In which ways? Is this going to turn into a BM appreciation thread?
