The only people whose opinions matter, about any topic, are those in the actual relationship. Your opinions are yours and as long as your husband is in agreement, that's what counts. However my opinions, although quite different from yours, are equally valid because they are in sync with my husband's.
You think my husband & I settled because we've watched porn. I'll tell you that you're wrong and that we won't lose any sleep over it.
So let's just say we'll agree to disagree on this.
The fact that you are still looking says a lot. Neither one of you has quit shopping and neither one of you is enough for the other. At least it's mutual.
Side question, how would you feel about your daughter, sister, niece, mom, whoever, becomming a porn star? Would you be proud of her? I always wonder if people who are pro porn would think it a great career for their kids.

Viewing porn means I'm shopping for a new spouse? You presume too much. If I were so inclined, I could take your replies to me and your judgement on my marriage, and in turn make judgements on you and yours, but I won't.

I've watched Jackass, but wouldn't want my children taking crazy risks with their lives. What's your point?

It means you are not happy with what you have. You want more.
Why wouldn't you want your children working in porn? If it's good for you to watch, why wouldn't it be good for them to participate in? Do you see porn as taking crazy risks with their lives? If so, why do you support other people's children taking crazy risks with their lives by supporting the industry?
The double standard here amazes me. People who find porn desirable to watch seem to want to keep their children out of it yet that's someone's child you are watching.

If Robee was still shopping, I doubt she would be looking at porn sites for that.
It's rather a strange assumption. Hey Ivorytickler, why are you here on the Relationship forum where so many single people hang out? Does that mean that you are still shopping?
See how ridiculous this sounds?
I'm sorry Ivorytickler, but your statement is illogical. Porn is made for viewing, it is not an advertisement for a prostitute or lapdancer. If someone was looking for sex they would be on craigslist or some other site where you can buy sexual favours.
I watch porn, my husband watches porn and sometimes we watch it together. It titillates.
I can appreciate the fact it may not be everyone's cup of tea but it is certainly not an aberration to watch it.
I didn't have time to read the whole thing, so I'll just say this: as a woman I simply can't understand why so many women are so threatened by their SO's porn watching habits. It's not like he's going to leave you for. . . what? Some porn star whose name he doesn't know? It's a form of vicarious pleasure and nothing more and giving a little here might keep him from going out on you.
That said, I would object if he got his lovemaking lessons from a porn video. That's just not the way most women want their lovemaking done.

You are being totally ridiculous on this thread.
I like to eat food, but I wouldn't want my child to become a farmer. It's a tough life so I'd prefer my offspring to have it easier than that.
As a guy my view is this:
You have your emotions and pleasures with your girlfriend/SO/~
And use porn in between girlfriends to not be a totally horny moron through every-day life...
It's like when you have to use the toilet, you have a need, you get rid of it, and that's it.
Intimacy and porn have about as much to do with each other as ketchup and chocolate if you ask me...
