Yep, I know where he is, what he's up to, etc. We don't talk at all though. By no standard are we friends (or enemies, for that matter. We just don't talk.)
It's funny for me. Most of my really good friends are also ex-boyfriends.
I got a Facebook friend request from that special person earlier today. We did hang out since the relationship ended but even that was 6 years ago. There is no real reason why we lost touch as friends. I accepted the request out of curiosity but it got me to thinking.
Do you ever wonder? I'm not talking about picking up where it left off or any romantic feelings. But have you ever just honestly wondered where that person is and how they are living life?
In this age of the internet, Facebook, cell phone, people finding sites, etc...
Do you know where he/she is right now? How they are doing? Are you two friends (friendly)?
My first "crush" - I do not know where he is. Back in Canada perhaps, or maybe dead.
My first "real love" - yes, I know where he is. His sister and I were "friends" (sort of) way back when and I have found her on FB and befriended her solely with the hopes that she might post a family photo once in a while. And she has. Honestly, in retrospect, other than for the novelty, I really wish she hadn't. I should have left my memories alone. He and I do not communicate, he is not computer literate and I don't think it would be a good thing from me to contact him personally.
But today, all I can say is, she missed the bus. And that's how it was destined to be
