The seed drill was a machine for planting seeds singularly instead of by the usual practice of the farmer randomly throwing a handful of seeds from a container. It was invented by Jethro Tull in the 17th century. It revolutionised farming methods and Jethro Tull should have followed it up instead of joining that rock band!
