I was just thinking about this and thought I would ask. I'd love to hear your comments on why you've read one over the other. I've had to group books together to stay within the limits.

Default Reading the Bible

Several years ago I decided to read the Bible all the way through. So I just began at Genesis and read through. I tend to prefer the Psalms and Isaiah. I also like to read Genesis quite a bit because I think the stories are interesting. My favorite "gospel" to read is the gospel of John. Confession? I need to be more diligent about reading the Word. I used to be a lot more faithful about it.

I've read the whole thing and a couple of Apocryphal texts as well.

All of it many many times. I especially like Deuteronomy, Psalms, the Prophets, the Gospels, the Pastoral Epistles, Peter's 1 2, John's 1 2 3, Jude, and Revelation.

I have to admit... I'm surprised that there are so many who have read books like Deut, Lev, Lam. I've only recently realized the richness of these books. Going through the OT has really challenged me.

Jco, I think a lot of us have only read them because we made a specific decision to do so. (to read the entire Bible) I think books like Leviticus are pretty hard to get through personally. I know it's all the word of God, but some books are definitely easier reading IMO.

Me too!!!! I love it, it's my favorite book. It's a book full of hope, knowing God is in control, Christ's victory is assured and all who trust Him will be saved.
