Why not just say "X marks the spot"? I hope we're not going through all that nonsense about Christman vs Xmas again this year. Not very inspirational. The 'reason for the season' is the winter solstice. Christ is a symbol of rebirth, like all the earlier gods that serve the same purpose. (No, the sun isn't going away entirely.)

Education really isn't the forte of many of the devoutly religious.

P.S. The Book of Kells in person is really really cool.

When undertaking to critique the knowledge of others . . . it is wise to check your own . . . the Greek letter Rho is not spelled Ro.

Yes, you certainly are correct about that.

But you've seen the Book of Kells? How cool is that? I've only seen photos or reproductions in books.
