I have the opposite problem. I go to one church on Saturday night, and a different church on Sunday. My guilt is all about not being able to choose my church home! I feel like I'm not 100% committed to either one if I'm splitting my time.

Default Try a litmus test

There is a story which talks about a sick man who came into a hospital and cried out "look at all these sick people! I don't want to be around them". Hmmmm....

Then the same man came into church and cried out "look at all these sinners" I don't want to be around them.

If church seems like there is a lot of "squared away", self righteous, perfect people... that's probably where the guy in the story attends church.

Mark 2:17 (KJV): When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

My point is... if the church is Bible based, reaching out to those in need, and there is spiritual feeding, find a seat and call it home.

I was in the same situation as you. God will show you which church is the right for you. Just pray about it . You shouldn't feel guilty about it.

there once was a man that came to church regularly for a while, then every other Sunday, then not at all.
The pastor came out to the mans house, and the man invited him in, they sat in front of the fireplace in silence, watching the embres burn and the fire dance...the preacher leaned over and got the poker from near the fire and raked out a large, red hot coal, as he pushed it away from the others, it slowly turned from being hot to cold, still both mean looked in silence at the coal, then the man looked at the pastor and said..I see what you mean, Ill be there Sunday.

the coal represented the man outside a fellowship of believers, without some sort of fellowship, the fire eventually grew cold..

I have been very sick. Details pretty grody so I won't detail, suffice to say sitting without instant nose-powdering access a MAJOR risk...and NEVER prepared to deal with the out-come...nor would any church deal particularly grace-fully with such...decoration......

While I had a home, I thus *attended* four TV preachings each sunday morning, attempting to avert the guilt-thing re. not being ABLE to go TO a church.

That, and when I tried to tell the pastor of the last church I WAS able to go to that I had NO food for Easter, he ignored that element of the discussion. Mentioned repeatedly, repeatedly ignored.

In desperation, I emailed the pastor of the church I had attended before that. He found it impossible to cross the street to assist me, nor send any of his underlings over either.

And now, thanks to lies by my own flesh and blood, no house, and nothing else...guess I need to watch for a travelling Samaritan.............

Pardon if I've been overly jovial here, just fiddling while hope burns........

goodnight

We commit 100% to Christ not a fellowship.
