In today's world, I see most people living in a cube of social norms. Most people go to a job they don't enjoy, don't dare speak about real issues out of fear they might offend someone or get disciplined by a boss or be shunned.
In today's world, it is the corporations who dictate behavior. We are subjected to thousands of ads a day, which not only tell us how we should look and why we should work at a job we hate, but also tell us that we must buy their products in order to feel important and happy. We also have a gov't who dictates many victimless activity's as crimes... like gambling at non-casinos, choosing what you put in your own body, trying to open a store without the "right" permits, growing your own food and selling it to your neighbors, etc etc...
I've heard that once a person becomes homeless, the first thing they realize is who doesn't care. The second thing is, how you literally exit the matrix, for you realize that without money, it's like you don't exist in that world anymore.
It's very rare in this matrix, when you see people doing things that are not of this matrix, but of the human spirit. Like a small glimpse of what is possible if we all just refused to be stuck here, and lost our unnatural fears.
Here is just one video of an activist who I think has an uncanny ability to reunite people with their human spirit, if only for a brief amount of time. If you know of any other interesting activists/programs/videos , please feel free to share.
