So that whole dying on a cross thing was just to make people more Jewish?

No, it was a plan gone bad.

There are no such prophecies in the Bible, or, if you prefer, the Jewish Bible, that support your claim.

If anything, Jesus of Nazareth failed to fulfill the prophecies that were required of the Moshiach.

Nope, it's what happened when a perceived rabble rouser drew the ire of the Sanhedrin and, in turn, caught the eye of the Roman authorities.

No, he was executed by the Romans for causing trouble and the potential of an uprising. The Romans were always on the lookout for those who might instigate the people to uprising against the Roman rule.

The prophesies are just how Christians choose to read the Jewish Scripture. It is not how Jews read the writings.

The Christians cherry picked their way through the Old Testament which is the Hebrew Scripture to the Jewish people. Our book already had its own tradition and understanding to us before Christianity was even on the radar.

The Christians are the ones who have changed it to suit their own agenda.

And, in fact, the Zealots went out of their way to tweak the Romans. They designated their leaders as "Messiah," knowing full well that the Romans considered that to be blasphemy.

There was a theory advanced that Jesus of Nazareth had some associations with the Zealots...which makes for interesting speculation on how he happened to acquire his messianic title.

According to the gospels themselves, one of the 12 was a confirmed Zealot....Simon. You're known by the company you keep.

I am convinced if there was ever such a thing as a Christian, he was executed in Jerusalem about 2,000 years ago.
