^^^^^ and the heavens gate crowd committed mass suicide because god was sending a spaceship to pick them. People do irrational things based on irrational concepts.
that's why we compare what we think God is saying to the Word that He has already revealed. Do that and stupid things like that don't happen.
First, I visited the grand canyon for the first time - with a belly full of hallucanegenic mushrooms. Spent the whole day hiking inside the canyon, and just kept telling myself, this beauty isn't random. yeah i know, a little creek became a river and ate away all the rock until it was a big canyon, but again, in my mind, it was more than just the science behind how the canyon was formed.
The second event was a friend had a baby, and I was over at her house when she was nursing her baby. Again, i know how the body works and where the milk comes from, but in my mind, this wasn't just "evolution." It was G-d himself.
1. That sounds like a really bad trip. You know the real explanation, so why insert a deity?
2. No, it wasn't "evolution" at all. It was the natural way of things. Many other animals nurse their young.
Obviously, not all agnostics and atheists think alike.
Pick any Christian Bible. The different translations matter little. They all have message of Christ.
