If your area has any Sikhs, are their children allowed to carry knives to school?

I did a web search on this topic, and only found stories about a school district in Michigan which allowed the Sikh kids to do it.

Maybe that knife-carrying thing only applies to Sikhs that have been baptised.

If they book reservations to fly somewhere, will TSA confiscate the knives?

I donno. But if I was a movie producer, I would do a huge 3 part movie on this religion-origin-development-philosophy and its wars against Islam and then the Brits....It would be a huge sell out. All the ingredients are there ...association-learning
I think it would be a bigger hit then Lawarence of Arabia....could be wrong but lets face it, history is a good go to, and many arguements-wars have already been fought within mankind.....unless we need to repeat the same problems over and over
edit....( the only thing that could go wrong is hiring flaky dakey Ron Howard to direct

Believe it or not, I actually tried to research your question. As best I can tell, they are not allowed to carry their knives on board airplanes in the U.S. I think they are allowed to do it in India.

It said the Canadian Supreme Court ruled 8-0 to allow Sikh children to carry their knives to school.

I talked with a guy in his 50's who was raised in western Maryland. He said he used to bring his shotgun to school and put it in his locker. Then he would go hunting on his way home. Times have changed.
