To the OP...we should be ever mindful of our biases and prejudices. Only when we are awakened to them, will we be able to do something, concerning them. Your life is a blank canvas, it doesn't need any meaning...the meaning is inferred in existence. So start slapping some paint on that canvas, and create your masterpiece!

I like my biases and prejudices. Why should I try to overcome them?

We can do what we want but we can’t choose to want what we want. As robots of genes we are biased and prejudiced towards life in a way to keep surviving and reproducing irrationally. We are slaves of a senseless will to live.

Why don’t we choose to think of our biases and prejudices and try to overcome them? Why not to overcome this life?

To answer your last two lines....

Because life is pointless, so why bother?

(No, life is far from pointless, but were you correct about this claim, then your question would also be pointless.)

Naturalism is a hopeless idea, were through atheism we take God out of the ideas and see life a useless waste of time........I Glad I do not believe one word you say here , For God is real and there is a unseen spiritual existences beyond the natural logic of the simple senses God gave people ... For the witness of truth that I have witness is beyond faith and into the known the truth of Christ and Lord Jesus which give me hope as His presence is very real ......

Reason number one. Nihilism is rather depressing. It's like a suicide attempt waiting to happen.Nihlism can make one depressed, and when one's considereding suicide he's probably more likely to follow through since they see no point to life. You say we have a bias towards life hardwired into us, it seems if that is the case the only ones who would question it would be individuals born without bias,or those strong enough to put their deeply rooted bias aside. Most people want to make sense of things, and for one reason or another saying life has no point does not make sense. People want their lives to have some point. I would wager that even you would like life to have a point. Whether there is or isn't an objective point to life, as sentinel beings we have the cool habit of perceiving meaning where there is none known, in that we make our own meaning, thus giving it vaule. Life is no diffrent.

We KNOW this life exists. After (or before) this is all conjecture.

It takes a lot more "faith" to believe this man-made fairytale than it does to believe in Intelligent Design.

Why not stop automatically accepting the limited understanding of weak humans {especially all scientists and philosophers who pretend to be so wise} and ask God directly to prove Himself to you on a personal level. He will.

"We KNOW this life exists. After (or before) this is all conjecture."

What could be said in response, "We don't really know this life exists. We think it exists, even believe it does, but we don't know. We don't really know anything, because this world could be the delusion of an evil demon. Now you could say, for the delusion to exist something must exist. However, we could not say for certain we exist, or in what manner. It is a presumption that we exist." I wouldn't agree with this, because even if this life is a delusion by an evil demon we can know about the delusion. Even if the demon is making rules for this world that are diffrent from his, we can learn about these rules, and know the knowledge that pertains to this world, besides there being an evil demon running the show.

We all should realize scientists and philosophers make complexing words that only they know and chuckle when we ask them what words like esoteric means.^^
Wouldn't I already need to believe in God to ask Him for amything?Likewise, believing he could provide proof of his existence? I at least think ID is a man-made fairy tale.

If this life is all there is ... and there is no sovereign God and creator ..who has a plan and purpose larger than our own feeble minds can imagine, -- then one may as well live fast, die young and leave a good looking corpse.

But, then, if that were the case, nobody would be living lives of purpose and meaning .... as so many are. So, it would appear that the pointlessness you see in your life ... is not really in God or the world, but, in you.

Your frustration is based on the inborn knowledge that there is indeed a sovereign God with eternal power and purpose; .... and that your own existence extends beyond the physical limitations of this world. This is not about 'theology', but, reality and God's plan. What really is pointless ... is going through this life without a personal relationship with the Living God and a confirmed knowledge of His plan for YOU!

Your choice! .... Continue in pointlessness --- or open your eyes and heart to the truth!
