What religions outside of Protestantism in Christianity are there that emphasize having the correct beliefs, attitudes, philosophy, and general set of morals over performing rituals and traditions? Something akin to what Protestants call "grace". By not having rituals and traditions, it is possible for two people sharing this same religion to have completely different cultures and have nothing in common except for their beliefs.

A certain set of Japanese buddhism, called S.G.I. which follow a certain founder Nicheren, I believe. I went to one of their Sunday meetings once...

All they kept on doing was stressing the correctness of their theology over the "establishment" which they had broken off from in Japan about 600 years ago. and also complaining about how the "old religion" had been corrupted into a ritual of monk (clergy) worship.

Just my opinion

I believe it occurs in all religions. However because of the huge number of denominations in Christianity you find more diversity and the result is you get groups that have very little in common with other Christians. To an outsider it is almost impossible to contemplate how Catholic, Church of God, Presbyterian, Mormon, Unitarian, Jehovah Witness, Nazarene and Messianic Jew can all be Christians. as a non-Christian I do not see they have anything in common.

Because the non-Christian religions have not divided into such a large number of division the divisions are not apparant to non adherents. For example it seems most non-Muslims can not see any differences between a Shi'ite or Sunni Muslim.

The divisions are there in all religions and often each division claims to be the true faith. The differences are usually not apparent to non-adherents.
