Come on.

Did you mean to ask how much people tithe to their churches a week by any chance?

Then to answer your question, it "costs" nothing. Many people choose to give 10% of their income. I preached a sermon last week that said you HAD to give nothing. You MAY choose to give $1, or you may choose to give $1000. That's between you and God. You MAY even choose to give nothing.

If you honestly want to give SOMETHING but don't know what? A few dollars, $10, $20 would be fine. If you are well off and want to give more....go ahead. It's entirely up to you. If you go to a church that TELLS you that you HAVE to give a set amount I would suggest going to another place.

Attending Church is free IF you wish to donate you can donate whatever amount you feel is appropriate. Some tithe a regular amount, others do not.

After the weekly offering, which is right before Communion, the priest holds up the collection plate and says "All things come from you, O Lord," and the congregation says, "And of thine own have we given thee."

So it costs nothing, since none of it was ours in the first place!

But on human terms, people give what they can afford. Ours is a small parish, and too many people are unemployed. Our budget is always in a deficit, but we keep going anyway, and people still manage to bring in food every week for an associated church's food pantry.

Oh please, you know the Christianity is intended for all of the denominations. I, as a Jew, shouldn't have to sift through these things. Sorry.

As a Non-Christian I avoid the Christianity forum. I suspect many other non-Christian members also do.

The concept of Church does not apply only to Christians.
