sounds like they were practicing religion. I agree-that's not Christianity. But they were practicing religion--something you won't condemn the baby killers for.

It's an old, sad story - it happened here in Canada. It happened and still happens in Africa and South America and other "undeveloped" parts of the world that "need to hear God's* word."

May the Creator ease their pain and help them gain the wisdom and perspective to forgive the evil-doers and find their way back to mending their spirits.

*God=one's particular perception of the words perceived by long-dead men and translated hundreds of times by long-dead men with their own agenda and compiled into something they call the "bible."
