Romans 3 states that "none seek after God".. Those that are seeking are really seeking THEIR God.. The Bible calls this false god an IDOL. It is a god made in their own image after their likeness as opposed to Worshiping and Serving the God that made us in His image after His likeness. It is a "god" that appeals to the fleshly fallen desires of Man (virgins in heaven, our pride, etc).
God's Word has much to say about false gods, and many EVEN IN THE "CHRISTIAN RELIGION" ALSO are worshiping and serving a FALSE GOD. They may profess Christianity but have REJECTED the witness of the true and living GOD through His Word which HE has declared is the authority on issues of Faith. Many in "Christianity" are not obeying God's Will which is to believe on Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins. Many are still approaching God with the Law as a righteous person as opposed to seeking His unmerited forgiveness as a sinner saved by God's Grace.. The Bible calls approaching God with the Works of the Law as "stumbling at that stumbling stone" (romans 9) in which all that fall upon that stone shall be ground to powder.
All that believe on that stone (JESUS Christ) shall not be ashamed, because THEY ARE FORGIVEN Justified by CHRIST on HIS Merit receiving Him as Savior and LORD.
Salvation is offered to ALL OF MAN, for "WHOSOEVER Shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved", but not All of Man will accept God's provision in mercy and demonstration of His LOVE for us on that Cross of Calvary.
God out of His love seeks the lost sinner to Save. He calls by His Spirit through His Word and His servants. Is He seeking you now? Why are you resisting the Holy Spirit and His call to repentance and Faith in Jesus Christ?
The proud religious man praying in the temple was not justified. The humble publican smoting himself on His chest asking God for mercy and forgiveness was. Christ died for SINNERS, and will save you from God's Wrath by simply humbling yourself and coming to HIM in Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins.
Once you come, GOD has forgiven you based upon the merit of JESUS CHRIST, and will create in you a new heart giving you the capability to obey His command freeing you from the POWER of Sin.
You have to catch the fish before you can clean the fish. JESUS says all that follow me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life..(para).. The old life and ALL of your sins WASHED AWAY by the BLOOD of JESUS Christ. So why resist the invitation? JESUS sought the lost sheep and welcomes the undeserving.. to demonstrate His infinite kindness, love, and Grace.
Your post is declaration rather than argument, you write that all these things are true but provide us with no particular reason to believe that this is the case.
And should you decide that you need to try and make the case, keep in mind that you cannot prove the validity of scripture by simply reciting the scripture. You have your scripture, someone else has his or hers...why should anyone believe this rather than that?
And yet since he sacrificed his only son, God has let billions upon billions of souls fall into other false religions. Whole civilizations lost that didn't even know of Jesus for 1500 years or more. How callus of God.
Any Religion outside of the Person of JESUS Christ is rebellion against the true and living God
Well, duh. Anyone's version of God Almighty is inherently the One True God and all others inherently therefore false. That is the basic nature of monotheism. Nothing here that hasn't already been said before. You have it figured out and everyone else is wrong. We get it.
To have a real rebellion you've gotta have some institution or power setup that you refuse to submit to and are actively fighting against.
That makes it easy to rebel against a religion, after all they are real institutions on earth... but which one really has god behind it?
Since god isn't telling us which religion (if any) is HIS religion, rebelling against a religion is NOT rebelling against god, because god's relationship with a religion is inherently unknowable and god certainly can't be supporting them all, as they all conflict with each other and claim the others are false.
Beyond that, Jesus himself was the poster child for rebelling against the religious institution... and not just any institution, but the one (Ancient Judiasm) that clearly had been sponsored by god... that is, if you believe the Old Testament is true.
The moral of this story is that if you are really trying to be like Jesus and love god, you really should be rebelling against institutions of Christianity!
You end your post with "god bless" after essentially saying, "convert or burn".
Yeah, don't you just love the sentiment? I get that kind of crap all the time -- "real Christians" telling me that I'm going to Hell because I don't agree with them on certain points of doctrine. Then they end their post with "God bless."
