So it's all God's fault - by your own admission.

These are two mutually exclusive statements. If you take life as it comes (and I do, so I'm not arguing against that at all) then you do not hold god or anyone else accountable for being "in control" of anything.

This is like saying that god always answers prayer -- yes, no, or later. It's a meaningless statement.

No, He answers prayers in His own time , as your statement is just a lame simile.

In other words, absence is evidence for existence.

"My bank statement clearly shows that I do not have a million dollars - which means I must have a million dollars! Woohoo, let's party!"

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the
paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death; I will fear no evil: for thou
art with me; thy rod and thy staff they
comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the
presence of mine enemies: thou anointest
my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all
the days of my life; and I will dwell in the
house of the Lord for ever.

Psalm 23 does it for me, great selection
