So laid out rules on how to treat your second wife is not saying it's ok? Exodus 21:10 Deuteronomy 21:15
God never commanded them to take a 2nd wife. Do you realize that?

Examples of several of gods chosen that were polygamous and blessed mean nothing? 2 Samuel 5:13; 1 Chronicles 3:1-9, 14:3 1 Kings 11:3 2 Chronicles 11:21
Again...God never commanded it.

God saying to one that if he wanted more he would have given them? 2 Samuel 12:8
Again...no statement of him actually commanding that he would do so, or that the "more" that he gave would have included wives.

Seriously?
Yes. Seriously. Remember...this was something happened several thousand years ago, in another culture, another environment. Women were treated horribly, and if not married off to polygamous men, the other option is to be a prostitute or beggar. In any event, we are no longer under the Mosaic Law.
We have a different view of cherry-picking. We need to read it in context, and not cherry-pick a verse to try to prove our point, as you are doing.

And did not condemn it either. Thus allowed it

"And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things."
2 Samuel 12:8.
God himself said that he gave him the wiveS. If god was against it, then he would not have GIVEN him multiple wives.

AAnd yet you quote verses from several thousand years ago, in another culture, another environment to disparage gays.

What does it mean if God did not command something? Does that mean he did not approve of it or that he did approve of it , that he was neutral or that it was optional? With all the rules he set forth in the OT one would think that if he disproved of something he would have told someone.
Funny...but all the gay rights advocates told us we were bigoted and that we were arguing a slippery-slope argument.
We saw this one coming a mile away. It's polygamy now....what's next? It won't stop here. You start messing with the definition of marriage that has been used for thousands of years...and it's anything-goes.

God has allowed certain things throughout history, while not endorsing them. He allowed things to happen in a culture, like polygamy, or divorce, but he never said it was good. It went against his plan for marriage...but he still allowed it because of the hearts of the people being hard.

How is god GIVING multiple wives to a man, not endorsing it?
