There are different theories about God's revelation. Some theologians believe God's revelation is cyclical. Other theologians believe it is linear. Actually, lots of people believe that God's revelation stopped when the last book of the Bible was written.
What do you believe? Did God's revelation end? Does it continue evolving?

Revelation constantly occurs. No one can claim to have all knowledge. Doctrine estabishes a point of reference for revelation but does not end revelation. I believe we do not need to be a prophet, for revelation.
As each matures in understanding as our lenses change. God's light refracts differently but the light is unchanging. It is our view or our walk that changes.
Changing Paradigms are often refered to in finite terms... up, down, circles and I have used them myself, but truth does not have walls, directions, or is contained in a box. Therefore... Truth does not evolve, it is our thinking that evolves as the revelation of truth becomes clearer.
Belief isn't "more so". You do or you don't. However ... you don't have to check your brain at the door... you just have to check your non belief.
It's called faith.
Same thing. Having faith doesn't require a brain.
The brain functions on reason and logic - it is a thinking organ, but only if used as such.
Beliefs are handed down from generation to generation. Beliefs are merely repeating what one has been taught to believe without question.
They have to do it their way and learn from the consequences.
There are also a lot of toxic parents. The God of the Bible is one.
He is like a father who tells his children he is going away. he is leaving them in the hands of neighbours. He will let them call him, but he will always remain silent at the other end of the phone and say nothing. He will leave a letter for them to read, which may be very hard to understand. The neighbours can interpret the letter for them. Sometimes the neighbours who he has left them with, abuse them, hurt them, even kill them. He knows this but does nothing.
He says that one day, he will return and if the neighbours have not taught them the truth of his letter or his children have misinterpreted his letter. or got tired of waiting for him, he will make them suffer eternally for it.
Yes, a parent is a great analogy to use, because it shows what a truly terrible parent God is.

Actually, God is with us always!!
Not in the sense that some people want to think that He is on our side and therefore make us righteous no matter what.
But in the sense that He is by our side, a loving presence, who sees what we do and rejoice with us, cries with us, guide us (if we are prepared to listen) gives us comfort, strengh and callanges and ...often gets disappointed by us but still love us.
That is what we should also do as parents, if we don't always do it is because we are only human.

Do you have faith in gravity?
Since the hypothesis of gravity moved to theory and then to law... as in the law of gravity... using your logic, the law of gravity is merely a belief repeating itself.
Your arguement is the law of self contradiction.
