Have you never heard of any military men that had spent years in battle together and were closer than even their wives? You're reading into it what is clearly not there.
Which is fundamentalist-speak for: I don't wanna see it.

This is why it's difficult to rationally discuss this issue -- someone like Tzaphkiel here is bound to waltz in and play the shame card by insinuating that anyone not toeing the line is mentally ill. And I'm sure this works. I have no doubt such shaming prevents many people from entering the discussion.

Personally, I find it an interesting academic issue -- and the bullying shame-game goes precisely nowhere with me.

I personally agree with you, Tzaph, but I am not sure it requires professional help. It is either a hormonal libido overload or a serious lack of emotional maturity or both, neither of which are necessarily responsive to therapy.

But neither yours or the post you quoted added anything to the discussion. If you read the OP, this thread is a response to a posting relating incest and homosexuality.

Can one conclude from your post that is one cannot see what is wrong with incest that means they do not lack the maturity to understand what is wrong with homosexuality ?

So if incest is so wrong, why? That was the question. Personally i do not see the if homosexuality is allowed then incest argument valid but if you cannot say why one is bad can you then say the other is acceptable? Seems easier to answer a question than make a comet on the poster.

Was David wrong for having his fling with Bathsheba?

What verse says it's morally good?

Nowhere does it suggest he was morally justified.

What verse suggests that she seduced Boaz? There was nothing sexual about her sleeping by his feet.

Not really. It's a familial love. Nothing sexual about it. Nor does the Bible ever record any kind of sexual relationship between them.
Playin' games again, I see....

She already is his wife.

Nonsense. There is no indication that Ruth had sex with Boaz on the threshing floor. That's bunk.

Or perhaps since she had been working in a field gleaning and she now wanted to impress a man she wanted to smell nice.

Except that the word indicates a familial, brotherly love. There is zero indication that David and Jonathon had any kind of sexual relationship.
You are being deliberately closed minded...

It's all in how ya look at it....

I was responding to a specific post in a thread with a specific title. There are so many homosexual threads we hardly need another one. I see nothing wrong with homosexuality and am convinced in my mind that neither does God. God is concerned with our state of mind, NOT our carnal activities. Those are for society to grapple with.
