The entire story about the Bible in the hotel room was that the hotel was government owned and those that opposed the Bible being there were doing so due to the concept of separation of church and state. To the best of my knowledge has there been complaints about Bibles in non government owned hotels. The bigger question is does your Constitution apply over minor things or something you think is unimportant?

I have stayed in many hotels due to travel for work and have never complained about the Bibles in them. The flip side is that there are also Christians who complain that they cannot force all students of a school to read the Bible and to pray regardless of the faiths or lack of belief of the students. Bibles in a hotel room no big deal, Bibles in government facilities apparently unconstitutional. Leaving out the factor of who owned the hotel is a distortion that changes the story drastically.

As far as respectful to each other, yes there are certain believers and non believers who show little respect towards their opposites. It does make reading, or even posting a much lesser experience and puts the brakes on discussion of the actual topic.

I said we are a nation founded on Christian principles. That's reflected in our laws. In fact, the very first laws enacted by Congress was the Northwest Ordinance which stated:

"Religion, morality and knowledge being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged."

Our founding fathers recognized that religion was an important element to society and government. Nowadays, secular atheists would claim the exact opposite and seek to eradicate religion from anything resembling government.

Ok, so we should adopt Islam (the One True Faith) as our state religion. Let's do it, lest our society descend into chaos and anarchy.

So are the harms of riding in a motor vehicle. So...I guess y'all should stop that.
This world is 1/3 Christian, and over half hold an Abrahamic faith. And it's gaining ground. Very few are Atheist.
You will have to learn to accept that, and cope...or continue to live with obvious angst. I see many (they note some in your link) that are having a very hard time getting a grip about the Religion in this world...most unfortunate.
It's like you not liking social media, smartphones, or some other common thing people are into...and it bothers you that most others are...with a particular aversion to the most common brands or sites. You note some bad behavior by some that was a derivative of using them. People using phones to set up drug deals or some other crime...people bullying over social media so bad, it causes depression or suicide. You get all twisted up over it.
But, guess what? It's not all bad...and your complaints will be completely ineffective to change it, no matter.
The world is as it is.
