I think the central question regarding religion, in these modern times, is:
Does matter create mind, or does mind create matter?

Where there is a mind there is intelligence. Where there is intelligence there is a person. Where there is a person there is a personality. In Scripture that person is: God. So, that means the intelligent mind of God created matter.- Psalm 104:30

To me, its more like walking. did walking make the legs? Do legs "make" the walking?

everything is a verb, everything is 'doing something' ... everything-ing.
the universe is universing ... many religious people don't understand that notion and misrepresent what they feel as a god thingie. What they are connected to is real enough, its just they have little understanding of what it is.

Thousands of Species have minds, many of those we should consider intelligent. I doubt that either ravens or chimps are considered persons. As far as amount of intelligence I truly would be surprised if a raven was not more intelligent than my 19 year old nice and she is a person. That is not a knock on my neice, she got a brain disease as a three day old. And there is a big jump in logic from your intelligence is a person therefore God created the universe. Perhaps he exists and did so however your statement still is not logical.

That is true. I have spent enough time at their blogs to know what they think. They are fighting a war against "superstition."
They are not evil -- they are trying to save the world from the violence and bigotry that (they think) religion inspires.

A raven is not a human being, if by "person" you mean human being. But a raven, and many other animals, can certainly have a personality.
