totally agree with you, but that's not the issue. The issue is when these people start forcing it on others. Be it fundy theists fascism or anti-religious socialism.
although fascism isn't capitalism, so whatever fundy theist economics, with their radical authoritarian ultranationalism, characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, with capitalism would be called.

As a teacher of earth science who taught evolution, while I cannot say what you personally experienced in school, your depiction of how evolution was taught in public schools is not valid. When taught correctly -- in places where it was taught -- teacher simply taught here's what we know and here's what we think. In general, I don't think that there is any doubt whatsoever about evolution. But I never told a student that. What did I get in return -- parents who sometimes LITERALLY said "I don't want my child to think".
Perhaps a christian shouldn't delve into atheism without a helper. (Really, your comment is just more christian ego).

The only difference is that the atoms we used when we lived will be recycled as we become worm food, and others can live because we died. What is more beautiful than that?

Bodies which have been embalmed and buried in a casket and vault are much less likely to be consumed by insects or their larvae, though — while decomposition is inevitable, modern burial means it mostly happens through hydrolysis (breaking apart by water, internal or external) and the ravenous appetite of bacteria.
I prefer to become fish food. I hope I can be buried in the ocean where all life evolved from.
