LOL sorry MysticPhD but apparently you and all too many just do NOT get it. It is NOT (I repeat) NOT just the "Jews" who are chosen. It is all those who are part of the people "Israel" (not to be confused with the country itself). That is 12 Tribes of which Yahudah (the Jews) just happen to be ONE of. Gentiles are NOT part of Israel as they do NOT keep the commandments of YHWH and that which Messiah taught and fully supported.
If you are HIS you are part of Israel and partake of the promise given to Israel the people alone. NO others.The amount to a much larger portion then what you surmise. Get a clue here. It ain't "the church" and it's most certainly not just the Jews either. It's the Torah (which ironically the so called new testament speaks of and directly teaches). They were "letters" not a book, written by teachers/followers of Messiah teaching to walk as HE walked which is IN the Torah.

I find the Tetragrammaton YHWH stands closer for Yeho.wah' rather than Yahudah.
Although Bible scholars generally favor Yahweh', even though God's name is a 3-syllable name.

Seems to me the reason God only chose one particular nation at that time frame is because Messiah would come only through the line of father Abraham. God promised Abraham that ALL families of Earth will be blessed, and ALL nations of Earth will be blessed as per Genesis 12:3; 18:18; 22:18. So, Messiah (Jesus) would come through on nation at that time.
Since Pentecost the way for the Samaritans and then all gentile people of nations could come under Christ as Messiah.
So, through Jesus is why there will be healing for earth's nations as per Revelation 22:2.
This is why all of us are invited to pray the invitation of Rev. 22:20 for Jesus to come !
Come and bring heavenly blessings and benefits to Earth as described in the 35th chapter of Isaiah.

But that is surely a case of using the Bible to prove the Bible, or the the words that Paulinist Christians put into Jesus mouth being used to prove Paulinist Christianity.

Jeremiah records what our ancient primitive ancestors thought in their limited understanding of God and reality. Everything was seen in Tribal context as YHWH was their tribal War God. Why would you retain such a primitive understanding?

They make up their own bible Richard, they reject the great majority of the bible as the word of God, and whatever they need to believe, they believe. All of them altogether speaking of a New Covenant when they can't even quote the New Covenant to have anyone take them seriously, as specific as it is, they like the fairytale they have in their minds.
Revelation talks about this twice, those who sit around claiming to be Jews but are not Jews but do lie, it says they will come to the feet of Jews to be made to acknowledge who and what a Jew is, and that God has always loved Jews.
Christians can't read Jeremiah 31 or any place it shows Ephraim and Judah in a covenant, and there is no guessing who Ephraim and Judah are, they all love and cherish the law.
