I mean, the way world population is increasing ,,,,,,,,, whether sex is dirty or not, seems irrelevant.
This kind of weird thinking makes me think that Christians are a lot wiser than they are often portrayed by society. As if they are the only wise ones, surrounded by idiots.
It's clear enough. At one time sex (apart from as permitted by religion) was regarded as sinful and the Authorities would work hard to stop people doing it (other than themselves).
Now it is still regarded as sinful, but the Authorities are pretty much letting everyone do it.

I'd say it's a different subject. A moments' thought must show that the religious cannot regard sex Per Se as 'dirty' at it is devised by God. It is only sex not approved by God - which is to say, religion - that is 'dirty'. Religious - approved sex - which is to say marriage - without any contraception, needless to say - is not 'dirty'. And it is that which is causing the exploding popularion. Because the religious will not hear of doing anything to prevent it.
The matter of the Authorities permitting sex that is not approved of by religion, is another matter entirely.
