"God's law is above any human law. So when a human law ... is contrary to God's law, this human law has no value," Cardoso had said.

Vatican defends Brazil excommunication - Yahoo!7 News (http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/5375029/vatican-defends-brazil-excommunication/ - broken link)

Human law of child rape has no value? Are you serious? Did I misinterpret that statement? Who wants to defend this irrationality?

As the church loses credibility day by day, they continue to support child molestation and endangerment. What a sick organization.

Besides there are the Laws of Nature which apply to a combined realm of Man and Nature. The human law is to protray that people were somehow with the presence of Nature enacted in the world. God's law may have needed deeper reflection. And surely as I see it was some kind of double standard to consider the rights of that family along with the right of the unborn child to avoid, I say avoid a life of misery.

The cruel world got God's decision as the helpless factor in live or die by the sword.

I don't know if a 9 year old could even carry to term. It's unlikely she would survive the biths without medical intervention if at all.

A senior Vatican cleric has defended the excommunication of the mother and doctors of a nine-year-old girl who had an abortion in Brazil after being raped.
Obviously the Vatican believes that God wanted the 9 year old to be raped.

Is the rapist excommunicated?
Or does the Vatican believe that the rapist can only be innocent because he simply was just carrying out God's will?

What did the baby do to deserve death?

We can't control the humanity on the planet. God gets his Jobian charge out of realing the injustice of fate for the alienated different consciences. All I feel is that secularly we can realize a better worth in those Brazilian hospitals. Perhaps irrespective of what the church may feel (excommunication: yaa.. sure) the abortion be seriously thought justified.

well in the here and now of Life, the human law is going to have more direct effect on your freedom and happiness.

God's law isn't really proven and is based on a strong faith and never seems to supercede or keep any one outta jail, so people tend to worry more about the human side of things than the supernatural side of it.

You don't understand my opinion. It's not a matter of contingency all around. It's just a matter of the appearance of contingency to the law makers. As for the law of God, wasn't it some thermodynamics which connected the law deduced to be caringly respected by the doer with respect to the contingency of people in the midst of disorder?
