As I posted before, they do not convert or proselytize. They say anyone can join at free will regardless of race, culture and ethnicity.
That is followed by somehow very few willing to do so. Unlike, for example, Islam, that takes new adapts in thousands daily.

I think, they are simply peaceful folk, minding their own business, without any aspirations to world domination or capering as many "converts" for their egregore god, as possible.
There is a rule on the Christianity forum that no one can tell another poster that he or she is not a "real" or "true" Christian.
BF doesn't agree with that, because he thinks only his version of Christianity is the right one. The real one. The one God likes best. He knows he can't say that, though, so asking if anyone can just decide to identify as a Sikh or some other religion is his veiled protest against the rule.
It would be interesting to know if there is a ritual or process that makes one officially Sikh, though.
Is it that important to 'be' an official Sikh?
(Just wondering.)
Can't one, like me, just believe in many, many things
they do and believe in and love their past
Gurus' words of wisdom and smile?
Just a thought.
