I want this thread to be more 'religious' rather than 'unexplained'...
With that being said, Ive heard of many people that are within minutes of dying, claim they see deceased family members in the room, some say they see angels, Im curious if they are seeing something real?
I was reading about people who had claimed to be involved in 'Faustian pacts', one man claimed to see huge ferrous dogs, he called them 'Hellhounds'...a couple minutes later, he was dead...
This made me wonder, I doubt he was lying or making it up, (there would be no point in that for someone on their death bed).

My mom told us her mom came to see her and said that my mom was going to see her at Christmas. she said it a few times that summer.
She died the next Dec 27.
I told my brother ... I don't care, I lack belief that it was her mom.
My grandfather kept yelling "Tom! Wait for me. I'm coming with you tomorrow" the day before he died, Tom being his brother who had been dead for 20 years. But yeah, lung cancer, probably lots of drugs.
My friend visited her dying 92-year-old mother a few days before her death, dreading what she would see. But to her surprise her mother was chipper and happy and told my friend, "My mother came to see me this morning! And my father was here yesterday!" No, drugs there, just a failing body shutting down as old bodies do.
When I found my own mother dead in her bed last March, she had a very peaceful look on her face with a hint of a smile on her lips. Five days earlier, her friend of about 70 years had been the first person we knew to die of COVID. The two of them used to take trips together, particularly after they were both widowed. I like to think that Esther swung by that night and picked up Mom and they were off on their next grand adventure.
My mom had no drugs in her but the regular heart and old age stuff. She dead sure it was her mom.
But talking to her was talking to somebody 1/2 awake and 1/2 asleep also. I used to say well, Grandmom is ok but if you see dad run. Or grab a fire suit and extra water..
I hope that is not the case!!
I have a GREAT fear of dying, I fear I'm going to a terrible place of suffering.
IF you deserve it because of what you have inflicted, it will be unavoidable, but not interminable and will be the result of your own regret and remorse.
...'Bardo Thodol'...'The Tibetan Book of the Dead'...an interesting explanation of the after death journey, it's certainly no beach read, for sure but if the after death rabbit hole is something you wish to explore, this book is a good start...
