Sure you have your ID, drivers license, SS Card. You are all set in the US, to the authorities who constantly want proof you exist and have provided them for you.
What about in South Pole. Do they know you exist? In China? Do you have THEIR acceptable proof that you exist? What about Timbuctoo? They dont even know that you dont exist in the North Pole. If you lose all those State provided proof, how will anyone know you exist?

Identification cards do not prove existence. They prove identity. Someone asking for my ID already knows that I exist. Also, your thread title speaks of evidence but your post goes on about proof. They are not one and the same. This sounds like a remarkably weak attempt at conflation. But, no, the existence of persons without photo IDs does not show that because there is no compelling evidence that Thor exists, believing in Thor (or any other deity, for that matter) is as reasonable as believing that the person standing before you exists even if s/he has no photo ID.

There are billions of people who don't know that I exist.
Anyone I encounter knows I exist, even if they don't know, or have proof of, my identity.
God knows everyone even people without ID cards and even people who die before they are born, who's soul is collected for heaven and live there as children forever even though they never had a ID card

Lets try and break through the cement theory (duly credited to LearnMe).
How is identity different from existence? I am not arguing they are the same but i would like to know how you see it the difference.
Stop with the snide remarks that throws no light on the topic. I will not respond to anything other than honest and educated post.

I think Descartes pretty much laid this navel-gazing question to rest.
