I feel God is quiet a trickster! He planted the tree on purpose just to see what happens. If Eve didn't eat from the tree, I'm sure God would've came up with another excuse to fulfill his obsession with superiority. You either do as i say or else.......
I've never heard an explanation for what the tree of knowledge might be. I would think that the apple must be symbolic but Genesis is one book that so many people feel must be taken literally even if they don't take the rest of the Bible literally. I also have never heard a good explanation for why the the entire human race is supposed to be punished for the actions of just two individuals, Adam and Eve.
No one is punished for anothers sin, we are judged on our own thoughts and actions.

We see things in terms of ourselves, to comprehend the great love that God has for us, we must step out of our negativity and approach humbly.
So basically, the answer you are looking for is PROOF that God exists?
To some extent, but my questions were about Adam and Eve, the sin, and the human population... The only answers so far are to go and read the book, which doesn't really tells me much at all.
This is the question I would like to see answered if anyone can. Also I constantly hear people say that god made man in his image. The same people say that all people are sinners so does that mean that god is a sinner too?
Never mind....The whole god story is just a bit too silly for me.
God made us in His image. He thought and we were made. Imagery.
God never stops creating, He can make many or few. Those that were in other parts of the world were made by God, as well i believe Adam and Eve could multiply before the fall, without physical contact.

godspeed,
freedom
But we are still sinners, that's what the question is, why are we ALL sinners?
