I'm sorry, I just have to throw out a few thoughts about the moon. All of the phases of the moon are just a reference to how much light from the sun it's reflecting at any given point in time due to the positions of the earth and the moon in relation to the sun and how that is perceived by an observer on the earth. The moon doesn't exude magic powers just because a human observer on the earth sees it when it's visible surface is completely reflecting the light of the sun, the only noticeable effect is that it's just a little bit brighter at night if you're out in the woods. This topic has a certain connection to astrology which I would put into the same category as palm reading. I truly mean no disrespect to those who have posted on this thread, I'm just trying to point out in a friendly manner that the moon has no influence in the activities of human beings and does not exert any power except for it's gravity which affects the ocean tides. Please accept my apologies in advance if this is taken the wrong way, I'm not trying to ridicule anyone, I just want to express my thoughts on the subject.

What happened to the romantic in you?

(Couldn't word it "spiritual romantic" for obvious reasons, but you get my point...)

Besides, I bet if you were watching the effect of the moon on those waves/tides at Newport under that full, perfect moon tonight, you'd have a whole different perspective, my dear, sweet man...

Take gentle moonlight care.

You're welcome.

It is no surprise that an atheist and a christian would not feel this connection of spirit. Oh well, I hope you can at least enjoy the beauty of it. Blessings.

The moon is a beautiful thing no question about that.

Every night I take my dogs out for a walk - these days that happens around 10pm because the temperature dips down into the low 80s around that time.

On last night's walk, the moon was still a little bit low so it was intensely bright. Not sure if the moon is magic, but it certainly made for a beautiful night.

Let's see it from a scientific perspective then

Solar light possesses a tremendous amount of energy, which travels across the universe in the form of electromagnetic waves.

these electromagnetic waves possess different properties depending on it's frequency, some are crucial to support life on earth while others are lethal to most lifeforms, fortunately most of those dangerous radiations are filtered by our atmosphere.

The moon acts like a natural filter modifying the electromagnetic spectrum that is being emitted by the sun, we also know that our moon and our sun have tremendous power over many things on earth such as tides.

The Moon And Tides

Thus, the energy we are receving on a full moon is affecting the entire planet, this effect is normally subtle but for receptive people who focus on receiving these energies it can have a purifying effect, helping to their spiritual and personal growth.

Love and Lighty!

It's true that the gravitational force of the moon is enough to cause the oceans tides but on a small object like a human being that force is insignificant. Every object that has mass actually exerts a certain amount of gravity and that includes desks, cars and even people but it's such an extremely small amount that it doesn't amount to anything, nevertheless when someone walks by you they actually exert more gravitational force than the moon is exerting on you. The oceans are massive so the effect is much stronger and we can see the result. I don't believe the moon can be shown to have any affect whatsoever on a person other than the light it's reflecting from the sun.
