Looks like neither God nor the bible could save the pastor in Illinois. Where is the miracle? There always seems to be one when a tornado misses one mobile home but destroys the one of the equally faithful neighbor. Guess God works in mysterious ways.

Why? Just because he was a pastor, God must perform a miracle to save him?

No, but had he survived it would have been all over the news, "miracle in Illinois" and the faithful would have flocked to the scene. Do miracles only happen when there is a convenient ending?

You have to admit - if that Bible had stopped the bullet....

people would have flooded the streets praising God as proof that their beliefs are right and if everyone only believed as hard and faithfully as that pastor did then....

but it didn't stop the bullet.

May God guide his soul to its next place in peace.

And all those people falling to their knees in the audience and praying while the gunman was there didn't make any difference. They should have gotten off their knees and done something that would have helped, rather than pray to a mystical being for help. I guess god just liked those people in the USAir plane better than that pastor, or else they just prayed better.

Or you might have been on here saying it was a coincidence.

I don't know all the variables. I don't know why this man had to die at that point.
