If someone would take your car (with out asking), use it overnight, and return it to you in the morning, did someone steal your car?
What has that got to do with the question that I asked? All I asked was did they return the animal after they finished using it. I just want to know what happened to the animal, I don't care whether they stole it or not, that's not my question. Sheesh
They got the owners permission AFTER they attempted to steal it. So basically they got caught trying to stealing it, sounds like a sin to me.
So is JESUS without sin?
You are reading something into it that is not explicitly there. The Bible does not say they got permission to take it after they attempted to "steal" it, and got caught. It merely says if anyone asks why they are taking it, to tell them "the master has need of it". Who knows, but that perhaps they made some kind of prior arrangement, that we are not told of in the gospels...it's a "we simply don't know" scenario...
We are not given enough information to say one way or the other that the animals were being "stolen", so we should not be second-guessing the situation, which, IMO, is what you are doing....
Tell you what: why don't you go find Jesus, point your finger in His face, and accuse Him of stealing. Then get back to the rest of us on what His reaction was...

The original finger pointing post #1 of this thread should serve as sufficient proof for Jesus.

And Jesus said loose the colt...if confronted...tell the owner.... Nothing about asking anything.
Could it be that this was a test of the devotion his followers felt towards him? Would they do what was asked by him without question? Doesn't make Jesus a thief, he directed the followers to do the deed, makes him more of a gang leader which he is ultimately "the" gang leader of all time.
he took possession, he was challenged said master needed it, they knew who it was, they let him. if you move into the apt & i dont renew the lease and you stay and keep paying me rent its tenancy at sufferance no crime as been committed.
i respectfully disagree with your post.
