I used to think scare tactics were cruel, but you gotta do what you gotta do to get people to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and repent of their sins. I am the first to admit I am not equipped to handle what Satan and his army throw at me as far as questions, disbelief and needing "proof", but let me tell you this young man who wrote this book is soooo prepared.

Name of Author: Mark Cahill
Name of Book: One Heartbeat Away
Publisher: BDM Publishing
Website: www.markcahill.org

He also has a first book that he wrote called "One Thing You Can't Do In Heaven", which I haven't read but you can bet your doubting minds that I will. My son came home from church one Wednesday evening with Mr. Cahill's book, and don't think it is by accident. I've been praying and waiting for something like this that I could refer unbelievers to...other than the Bible, of course. But since you all seem to have such a problem with the world's best-selling book, maybe you will read this one. Don't even think about responding to this post unless you have read this book. I'm not going to argue with you.
And people wonder why this world's screwed up.

Yes it does. Read the book of Isaiah.

Also, no one could reach The Father (God) because of our sins, so good people were "stuck" in Abraham's Busom until Christ came. In the day of judgment those in Abraham's Busom will have to recognize Christ's Lordship so they may enter into the kingdom.

Hell has existed, so has Satan. Again, Isaiah, in the old Testament (the Jewish books) clearly talks about Satan's fall and the punishment for the wicked.

I will do some research tonight and will post some Old Testament passages here for you. Judaism has always included Heaven and Hell. Sometimes it is implied and not just called "Heaven" or "Hell" as in the New Testament.

Why did Angelwhatever's post make you sicker than mine did? Was it the Bible verses that person quoted...this one in particular?
First of all, I wasn't saying that you were probably a mormon...I meant AL. Mormons like to skirt around hell and sugar coat it and be "tolerant". Your sarcasm is uneffective. I really have a hard time with people like AL who are condescending and probably hypocrites. That's what I meant....it is sickening as a Christian. Anyone can take Bible verses and twist them to suit their own purpose. That's what makes me most sick. I am not judging, AL is. I am speaking the truth of the Bible, and it's not always "sugary".

Read the post I sent to Rainy. That should explain it. If it doesn't then I can't help you. We have nothing else to say to each other.

Scriptures make me glad...not sick. You are judging, and there is no cause to judge. I wasn't talking about anything that is not clearly stated in the Bible. But like I said before, if you would take the time to read the whole thread you would know why I originally posted like this, and why I was reprimanded by a moderator. Christianity and witnessing sometimes takes different approaches, whether you like it or not.

Thanks, I guess they will be disappointed to know it's not some kind of Biblical prophecy!

You are exactly who I thought of when I read AL's post. And you are a mormon. I'm not debating this with you anymore. I have my way, you have yours. But let me ask you this....have you ever just blindly followed what God was telling you to do, even though you didn't want to? That's what happened here, and the results have been simply miraculous. All you see is the posts...you don't see my private messages.

Care to elaborate? Yes, the world is screwed up because they won't accept God and Jesus Christ. Isn't that what you meant?

Thanks, NG! Great post. I never got around to addressing this particular question, so thank you very much.
