When was the last time an atheist knocked on your door to chat about not believing in God? Have you ever seen an atheist preaching on a street corner about there being no God?

Why is there proselytizing?

Because there is always somebody, no matter what his inclination or philosophy, who knows what is good for somebody else and is more than willing to butt into his business.

Describes me to a tee...

Well it seems like most Christians who troll the Atheist boards don't even try to preach to us as an attempt to convert. It's usually just flat out trolling or some sad, pathetic attempt to validate their beliefs.

Judging by the post there, I'm very doubtful any of them have ever met an atheist in real life, or if they did, they didn't know it. It's the only way to explain some of their stupid, nonsensical comments.

They just can help themselves, I suppose. It just bothers them so badly that there can be people out there who don't believe what they do.

No, so far as I can tell, you're here on an atheist forum trying to convince us. Or at least convince yourself we're wrong.

No, they usually go to internet forums to do that.

You seem to confuse the "Religion and Philosophy" forum with "the Atheist boards".

And I'm explaining the reasoning behind it, the logic, the history, the higher criticism and the evidence. I have hopes that it will clear up a few misunderstandings, such as belief in God is just as reasonable as lack of faith in any such thing. It isn't as it has no rational support and atheism does.

You are not listening of course. I don't mind. I'm sure some are. deconverts have said that one of the reasons they started to doubt was because the atheists had the best arguments. Theist arguments tended to run along the lines of :
