Naturally, Fomenko dismisses carbon-dating. Why? Apparently because it's inconvenient. Dendrochonology? Also dismissed. Reason stated? None.

New Chronology is crack-pottery on the level of flat-eartherism or chemtrails - though I fear that associating them with New Chronology might unfairly malign crackpots.

How can they expect to do that? I should have sent up the maroons at 'True History' but I let it pass as history is the best assessment we can make based on what we have.

It has been argued that some of the roman emperors had their more shocking doings wished on them by later commentators. It has been said that the excesses of the Borgias were invented by a later Pope who had some dislilke of the Borgias. The Shakespearian hatchet Job on Richard III is now well known to be largely Tudor propaganda.

The truth will - eventually, out, after centuries of lies. This is happening with the bible, now. Ukroz should be pleased to hear that.

Interesting to this group - on a show called 'Secrets'...they cover Crucifixions - you all must know there
were thousands over hundreds of years, Constantine ended them - if a servant /slave spilled wine they could be crucified...really.
It was also a spectator sport like the gladiators, for pete's sake.
Well, in all those deaths ...they have only TWO remains they found...that's all... with holes through the heel bones.
Basically, saying the paintings we have of crucifixions are so off - just plain wrong.
I didn't know Romans were told not to speak of crucifixions - not even to 'think' about them - so there is little about them really.
Some were done on Xs and leaned against walls- there were no big trees to get lumber from...most were like a T not a t.

it's a fact that, considering the thousands that were killed in wars, rebellions and the like, there are surprisingly few remains that are recovered. In fact, it seems that this happens only if the bodies are buried in a location which is marked. Which is why UK civil war skeletons tend to be found in mass graves, not on the site of battles.

Crucifixion victims (and as you note, there is debate about what a cross looked like (1) were considered cursed by both sides and anything like a proper burial of the thousands that were crucified by the Persians (who invented it) Romans, who appreciated it, and Alexander Jannaeus who was happy about using it, seems to be extremely rare.

I don't want to seen as explaining away problems, but it is a factor to keep in mind.

(1) But note the Christian-mocking graffiti that shows a regular cross as we all imagine

Which was the other one? (1)Interesting btw that they show three horizontals, not just for the arms.

(1)The Intaglio mentioned in the text is Caracalla- pagan - adapted later (with a cross) to represent a saint.

our bible is a manual instruction for our mind and body (thinking and feeling) and if we chose not to follow the steps then we won't get what the outcome should be.... everything we order in a package and shipped to us, we gotta follow the guide to get what we wanted it. like a dresser came in several boxes and we open it up and put it together and in use after we follow all the instructions. if we being lazy, like missing a few screws, not tighten enough, etc. will give a problem or more. So, if you did following all the steps of manual instruction (bible)(all the commands but some are amended by Jesus which we are to follow, too) then you will notice God's blessing coming on us... the problems we are having are mental shutdown (bad memories that we won't forgive, but can't remember now) when we grew up and forgotten totally, need to seek a prophet or gifts of God to help you face it and remove the curses off you or a licensed counselor... some are curses were pass down generation and nothing to do with genetic disorder or us because scientists are missing 60% of unsolve as still a theory and not a fact, and God allowing curses pass down to 4th generation. so, don't be the ones who denying 1 + 1 is 2. if we are all following God's commands, hospitals and ER aren't needed nor meteorologists.

This is no doubts sage advice to Bible believers, but it doesn't really have anything to do with the topic - 'archaeological' (historical would do) evidence for Jesus.

I'm certainly glad I'm no longer that sort of mindless follower.
