I once asked the question in relation to homosexuals. Some Christians claim that Jesus can save ANYONE. They claim that no one is too far for the "hand of god" to reach, but I believe this is not without qualification because I am not sure how many [fundamentalist] Christians will truly believe a flamboyant homosexual man, can just "become" saved and despite them claiming Jesus can save anyone, such a homosexual will be watched with great scrutiny and even doubt.

Well now I want to know how would they view a sexual offender who has served his or her time, shows up at their church and claim to find Jesus before his or her past is found out? Do they keep a close eye on this person and their children out of natural fear or do they trust in Jesus' saving power and be as trusting of such a person as they would all the other "sinners saved by grace" in the church? If they do not trust the person or doubt their salvation, are they showing lack of faith in god?

My initial reaction was to say, no, they were just showing their lack of faith in the supposed conversion of someone who made that claim. But then maybe that comes to the same thing. Since they are so unquestioning about everything else connected with their faith, shouldn't they be the same about that?
