I stumbled upon a good set of questions that all of us need to answer from time to time, just to make sure the path we're on is close to the one we want.

Who are you?

What do you want?

Where are you going?

Who do you serve? And who do you trust?

I'm just curious what people are thinking at the moment ...

Okay, I'll bite...

Quote:
Who are you?
I'm one human being, no inherently better or worse than anyone else. I'm a husband, father, son, brother, friend, boss, peer, employee, mentor, mentee, artist, reader, writer, cook, traveler, couch potato, and many other things, at different times and in different combinations.

Quote:
What do you want?
I want some part of the world, no matter how small, to be better because I was here. I want to be considered a good man by those who know me. I want to enjoy my time here.

Quote:
Where are you going?
"If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans." Most of the best things in my life were unanticipated. They came across my path when I was traveling it for different reasons entirely. So I'm going to continue in the direction I've been going (see my answers to the first two questions), and embrace the surprises that come my way.

Quote:
Who do you serve? And who do you trust?
I serve those who need my help, when I'm in a position to provide help, and I know it's wanted. Sometimes I serve myself, in that we can't ignore all of our own wants and needs.

I trust all who have earned my trust. My initial reaction is to err on the side of trust, but I'm not naive enough to believe that everyone has my best interests at heart, so I extend trust little by little. I also trust myself -- most of the time, anyway.

I'm just curious what people are thinking at the moment ...
I'm thinking that it's a beautiful, sunny day, it's Friday, I'm a very lucky man in my life, and my lunch hour is over and I need to get back to work.

Who are you?
I am who I choose to be.

More things than I can list here. But mostly, to do the best I can at question number 1.

Quote:
Where are you going?
In about 10 minutes, the grocery store, and then home.

No one. I trust my wife.

1. Just another human in flux.
2. Nothing in particular, keeps changing.
3. Nowhere for the time being.
4a. Nobody. 4b. Almost anybody I can look in the eye.

That's a very broad question. I want many things, an Aston Martin DBS would be a good start. But in a broader and less materialistic view, I want my Fiancé to be with me and love me for the foreseeable future, and I want to never forget to take time out of my day to think.

6 feet under, like everyone else. The destination isn't important, it's the road that's memorable.
