Err...actually, the Book of Jubilees puts it at 2484m or approximately 3x the height of the Burj Khalifa, currently the tallest structure in the world. Sceptics of the bible eat your heart out! From the amazing reports of ante-diluvian structures discovered all over the world, to peoples near death experiences - visiting heaven or hell etc, there is simply no explanation to these or other questions like how did we get here & where do we go when we die, the only authoritative, logical & true answers are found in the Bible.

Babylon has three incarnations:

Tower of Babel, where the people were one - one language, culture, etc.... until God destroyed the tower and separated the people.

Ancient Babylonian Empire, who conquered surrounding peoples, removed them from their homelands and moved others into their lands
in an effort to destroy loyalty to individual ethnos, land, culture, religion, etc. When God's Anointed King, Cyrus, conquered Babylon,
he returned Babylon's captives back to their native lands and restored their individual cultures, religions, etc.

Mystery, Babylon which is the one world, globalist system we live in today that is intentionally destroying individual nations, ethnos,
cultures, religions, etc... to try to make the world one.

Sumerian parallel

There is a Sumerian myth similar to that of the Tower of Babel, called Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta, where Enmerkar of Uruk is building a massive ziggurat in Eridu and demands a tribute of precious materials from Aratta for its construction, at one point reciting an incantation imploring the god Enki to restore (or in Kramer's translation, to disrupt) the linguistic unity of the inhabited regions — named as Shubur, Hamazi, Sumer, Uri-ki (Akkad), and the Martu land, "the whole universe, the well-guarded people — may they all address Enlil together in a single language."[17]
One recent theory first advanced by David Rohl associates Nimrod, the hunter, builder of Erech and Babel, with Enmerkar (i.e., Enmer the Hunter) king of Uruk, also said to have been the first builder of the Eridu temple. (Amar-Sin (c. 2046–2037 BC), third monarch of the Third Dynasty of Ur, later attempted to complete the Eridu ziggurat.) This theory proposes that the remains of the historical building that via Mesopotamian legend inspired the story of the Tower of Babel are the ruins of the ziggurat of Eridu, just south of Ur. Among the reasons for this association are the larger size of the ruins, the older age of the ruins, and the fact that one title of Eridu was NUN.KI ("mighty place"), which later became a title of Babylon.[18] Both cities also had temples called the E-Sagila.

What has always struck me was, why would God feel threatened by it? Did he think Man could really built a stairway to Heaven?

I'm quite sure that it would make you feel very pleased with yourself to think that skeptics such as myself are eating our hearts out at reports of antediluvian structures or near death experiences, but we are not.

While those things may or may not be what you claim, they do not prove a darn thing about the Bible one way or another. reports of visiting heaven or hell we take with a very large handful of salt. I would venture to predict that an overview would show up discrepancies that would tend to indicate contradictory reports rather than confirming ones.

So again we are are not losing over it the sleep you would dearly love us to be losing.

Appeal to personal incredulity is not evidence.

God is very protective of His creation and He told Israel never to mix any seed, including the seed of Israelites.

The enemies of God seek to destroy God's creation by manipulating/forcing the mixing that which God wanted to be separate.

Today evil men create all sorts of hybrid abominations, including slicing human DNA into animals and vegetables.

Interesting you would mention, "Stairway to Heaven."

There are many symbols in that song similar to Biblical/historic symbolism of Babylon.

The woman climbing the stairway to heaven is the harlot, Babylon.

Here is an example:

One part of the song says: " When all are one and one is all - To be a rock and not to roll "

As I mentioned in my previous post, Babylon tried to make the world one [one race/one culture.]

Jeremiah 51:25 says God would roll Babylon down from the rocks and destroy her."

" Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth:
and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make
thee a burnt mountain. "

btw... in Revelation 11:18, it also says God will destroy those who destroy the earth.
