Baptist church puts up hate sign... (Islam, Israel, worship, quote)

A Baptist church put up a sign that is evidently about Islam being a violent religion. Church's Sign Against Islam Sparks Controversy :: WRAL.com

I find it horrible that a place of worship is so biased and prejudiced that they have put this out in front of their church proudly. I wouldn't go there if it had been my church before this.

I wish I could have a word with that minister. His is a funny play on facts, the trick is that explosives were a lot harder to come by at the time of the crusades.

WOW...am I the only one who is aware of the CHRISTIAN struggle in Ireland between the Catholics and the Prostestants?? Lots of people, women and children included have been killed...

And as "maniac" pointed out, we can't forget the many violent historical examples from Christianity... not that my people are perfect, considering what goes on in Israel (though I have to say it's mostly in self-defense). But yeah, neither the Christians nor the Jews are totally innocent!

Though I do not agree with the posting of this on a Church sign, the fact remains if one is a new creature in Christ (a Christian) one does not murder in the name of Christ. Many so called Christian groups have done so which is proof that they were not of Christ.

This post is more evidence that the word "cult" is nothing more than an insult one hurls at a religion, denomination, or church one doesn't like.

I agree that the sign tells us much more about the person displaying it than it does about Islam. The sign is a negative for the church.
